Chattanooga City Council "I don't have to listen to anybody"
"I'm going to adjourn this meeting, I don't have to listen to anybody"
-Off Camera City Council Member 3min 15sec
The citizens of Chattanooga, TN attempt to address their grievances with their City Council concerning the local budget...
Quick Summary of their Complaint:
The Mayor has refused to release the current budget, and would not answer how many part time workers their local govt. employed, nor would they answer how much tax payer money is allocated to landscaping/mowing grass in public areas.
The gentleman in the yellow shirt states that he has found patterns of cover up and corruption in the Mayor's staff. He asks for transparency and reminds the elected officials that they are public servants... His calm inquiry concerning the budget is rewarded with a smug dismissal by a callous Chattanooga City Council...
I did not film this video...original credit goes to the citizens of Chattanooga who challenged their elected officials to hold to such radical ideals as telling the truth and transparency..
